No it is not.
They can say whatever they want but the actions of the liberals make it clear that they want us to lose this war. It is not patriotic of them, it is selfish. They want America to lose a war so they can look good and say they were right. The left is never "right".

Hundreds of thousands of Iraqis are dead, millions more have had their lives destroyed, and we still don't even have a coherent explanation for why we went in there. I see people with those damned "I Support The Troops" magnets on their cars and I have no idea what the hell that even means. Toby Keith might think the American way has something to do with putting boots in people's asses but I don't really think that's what the United States wants to be known for.

The only conclusion I've been able to reach is that the typical American is a small-minded, heartless SOB who doesn't think twice about the deaths of innocent men, women and children so long as they are in a different place, speak a different language, or practice a different religion. And that does not particularly fill me with a sense of national pride. On the contrary.

I don't think any American is invested in defeat. I also don't feel it is Patriotic to continue to allow people to be killed in a war we cannot win. To remain staunch in the thought that we will democratize a country at any cost is a pity.

No,it's self serving.
The libs only chance in 08 is a military defeat in Iraq and they are doing all they can to insure that defeat.

That is a rather vague question. No one is invested in defeat and people have different images of what they view to be in the best national interest of all Americans.

Is it Patriotic to be so brainwashed and conditioned to say such nonsensical things like some Americans do?

Why are we capitalizing the word "Patriot" anyway?
Is it a God? I didn't know neo-cons were into monotheism, but it does make sense.
God of War,
God of Patriotism,
God of Bush,
etc. LOL....

I don't know, I guess it depends on what you believe patriotism is and how America is defined.

Me, I believe that America is defined by her people and by the dream that all people should be allowed to govern themselves.

But I guess if you think that America is defined exclusively by her success or failure in Iraq (even if you refuse to define what "success" or "failure" are in that context), then sure, you would believe that it is unpatriotic to be opposed to the war.

I think America is bigger and better than the war in Iraq. Unfortunately, it seems like a lot of conservatives believe that the war in Iraq is what our country is all about.

To me i dont like the war, i dont support the war, i support the troops that are there. You can hate the war all you want but just because you dont like the pres or the war doesnt mean that you should hate the ones that are fighting the war you hate. Remember...the troops you bad mouth are going to be the ones protecting you at home when the war gets here...

Americans interested and invested in defeat have no interest in patriotism. In fact they "intellectually" feel that patriotism is beaneath them.

here are two quotes defeatists love to throw at you..

Patriotism is your conviction that this country is superior to all other countries because you were born in it. - George Bernard Shaw

Patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel. Samuel Johnson (1709-1784)

About as patriotic as it is to imply that someone is anti-American because they disagree with you.
