A condition that basically makes the childs bowel so stretched out that they have no control over their bowels and they sometimes poop their pants several times a day. Some are smaller and some are so big that he has to crawl to the bathroom & I have to wash him off in the tub! Treatment is complex & the recovery is at least several months! Would you send him to school & go up there several times a day to change him or send him extra clothes & make him change himself or send him to the nurse to do it? Or would you home school until he was "cured?"

And yes I know about using laxatives, sitting on the potty, miralax, and enemas. So, just because you're a medical transcriptionist doesn't mean you know all about it---just the cases you transcribed!

Home school would be ideal in this case. The other students would ridicule the child so badly, he would even be more miserable than he already is, having to live with this condition. Have compassion for him. Keep him home.

I went to the two public and private college and that i stumbled on that the main distinction grew to become into the deepest college infants might desire to have the money for extra drugs. and that i'm being completely extreme. i finished up attending a public college for top college because of the fact it grew to become right into a magnet college for humanities and arts and between the right rated colleges interior the state. My youthful brother at present attends a public magnet college for math and technology. My mum and dad desperate (after seeing what number drugs there have been interior the deepest colleges and how snotty those infants have been) that the suitable guess grew to become into to discover a magnet college which might keep away from those issues, determine their infants have been given stunning educations and save us aside from the "undesirable infants" (definite, my mum and dad are elitists of the optimum high quality). My mum and dad made the sacrifice of having tochronic their infants half-hour to college even however there grew to become right into a school 5 minutes from our abode. My mum and dad additionally had problems with the indisputable fact that all and sundry the deepest colleges in our area have been religious colleges (in spite of the indisputable fact that I did attend a Montessori college for undemanding college). My son would be abode-schooled.

I would for sure home School him, kids are mean enough these days, teasing one another about the cloths or shoes they wear, I can only imagine what your son would go through, it would be aweful, i see nothing wrong with keeping him homeschooled until his condition is treated, that is exactley what I would do, for the sake of my child.....the world can be so so cruel, why put him through that?....Good luck with this and keep being strong, I'll pray for you girl, and your family.......

Hmm. Interesting dilemma.
If the child is still in his earlier years of schooling, keep him at home and school him there.
Less stress from classmates may impact positively on his recovery as well. You never know!
Perhaps teach him how to talk to friends over the internet so that he can keep in touch, in order to make his transition back to school easier.
Good luck!

I'm not a mother, but I imagine the best thing would be home school until he's cured. I mean, how old is the child? Won't it be embarrassing for him when he poops in front of others?

I'd home school until I could figure out what to do about it. It would be quite embarrasing for the child. Kids are cruel when they don't understand the situation. Sorry he is going through that. That is tough.

Home school definitely...kids can be very cruel to someone when they find out something negative, and with a condition like that, unless you want a crying child, home school would be best.

I would keep my child home, I do, but not for the same reason.
It would be very embarrassing for your child, he would never live it down .Kids can be brutally cruel, please don't allow your child to be ridiculed over something he can't help. Home schooling is a good option, if it's done right .
