FANTASTIC is another way of saying- I'm hot and don't know much of my vocabulary.

I think usage of certain words or expressions depend somewhat as to what is currently popular, and where you live. If you listen to people talk that aren't what you would consider "hot," you would find they pretty much used the same words as the "hot ones."
