Here is what I would choose at each of them:
1. McDonald's - One of their salads with grilled Chicken and the low fat vinaigrette dressing
2. Burger King - Grilled Chicken Sandwich, Ketchup instead of Mayo, no sides
3. KFC - don't go there
4. Subway - lots of options here. 6" Sandwich or Wrap with Turkey or Chicken Breast, lots of veggies and a low fat dressing
and my personal no. 5
Wendy's - plain baked potato and plain side salad. Small cup of chili poured over both. Makes a great meal.

Hi. I don't like ANY fast food/restaurants as a general rule. I just don't trust the way food is handled or prepared at all. I do not believe that any "fast food" can have truly "healthy" food unless it is salad with vegetables or a soup.
In my opinion though, I would say that Subway probably is the "healthiest". My reasons for choosing Subway is because most Subway franchises appear to use Fresh breads, vegetables, and meats/cheeses. They offer tuna, salads and some have begun to offer soups as well.
If you take time while visiting a Subway, they provide brochures at the register which outline carbs and calories and the like for some of their sandwiches.
Clearly, a balanced sandwich or sub will have more nutritional value than a greasy hamburger and over-salted french fries cooked in oils other than olive or sunflower oil. Even eating alot of fried chicken can't be good for a person's overall health. Unless you're lucky enough to find a KFC that offers a buffet meal with hot meats/chicken and hot vegetables and a dessert bar. We had them in S.C. but they were all discontinued. It is a pity. I'm a meat and 3 vegetables kind of girl; and I take time to eat, and never eat "on the hoof" anyway.
At least at Subway, you can choose among several fresh, wholesome bread types; other than a plain bun or white bread; and you can choose what other additional vegetables you want. By the way, cheese is good to eat--women especially need as much calcium as they can get and dairy products can give us calcium.
I hope this helps answer your question!
Best Regards,
E. Farkas

1)McDonalds- Happy Meal, the small portions, yet it boost childrens' energy, and growth. Since the Happy Meal is served in small amounts of fats and carbs, it also boosts their immunity system. (Compare the Kid's Meal to Burger King, the McDonalds Happy Meal is the healthiest)
2) Burger King- Add a bottled water instead of the soda, or a vitamin C-packed orange juice and you can have a healthy and any medium to small size meal from Burger King.
3)KFC- a healthy meal would be a drumstick without skin, corn bread, baked beans, and a diet cola or water.
4) Subway- uses more fresh vegetables and lower-fat deli meats (which is athe most healthiest out of the 3 above). Get veggies and a cheese sub and a bag of baked chips. Or you can simple choose any type of medium size sub with a small or medium size drink.

I can only think of Subway being the healthiest in all the mentioned food chains. Burger King is still in a lawsuit for not cutting off their trans fat in their fries and burgers, which increases the chances of heart disease and obesity. Subway is as they say, 6 grams of fat or less. The healthiest one is the Veggie Delite...with all the works. It's the one I usually order. Order a Veggie Delite sandwich, iced teach, and Sun Chips...you've got a delicious refreshing and healthy meal.

This is based on calorie content alone. There is a lot more to "healthy" besides calories, but that is usually a good starting point.
McDonalds - Asian Salad (without chicken) or Bacon Ranch Salad (without chicken). Don't assume their salads are all safe though, the Southwest Salad with Crispy Chicken has almost as many calories as the Quarter Pounder!
Burger King - Again, go with the salads, but AVOID the "TenderCrisp" salad - you might as well go for a burger. Also, the 5 piece chicken tenders are not too bad if you don't have fries or dipping sauce.
KFC - A lot better than I expected. In fact after looking at the nutritional info I'm going to be more likely to hit KFC over McDonalds or Burger King. The snacker sandwiches are all in the ballpark of 300 calories, which is not much higher than their salads.
Subway - If it has "Veggie Delight" in the name, wrap, salad, or sandwich you're on the right track. Watch out though, they don't say which bread they used to calculate calories so keep in mind which bread you use could make it a lot different.

You can check out just about everything that every major restaurant has to offer at DietFacts.com.
These are among the lowest-calorie foods at each restaurant:
1) McDonald's - side salad without dressing or croûtons (20 calories)
2) Burger King - side garden salad without dressing or croûtons (15 calories)
3) KFC - house side salad without dressing or croûtons (15 calories)
4) Subway - minestrone soup (50 calories)
If you wanted to go on a relatively healthy all-fast food diet then I hope you always wanted to be a rabbit because you'll be eating a lot of rabbit food.

Since diet colas are just empty calories
1.) McD definately has trans fat items
I'd say a grilled chicken salad w/o dressing
2.) BK definately has trans fat items
I'd say a grilled chicken chiken sandwich w/o the mayo
3.) KFC's TV ad says "no transfat per serving". I bet the the "per serving" just means 0.49g of trans fat or less, as FDA regulations allows for resturants and food companies to label their products as such.
Dunno here. If they've got salads, then those w/o all the delicious
4.) Subway i believe is the healthiest of the 4
their 7 6" subs w/6 grams of fat or less, following their guidelines of no cheese and condiments
5.) to the person that brought up Wendy's, it's nice that my local wendy's puts up a big chart showing the nutritional info of all their food items, but i was taken back to see that even their chili had trans fat :(
...... salads again

Well, I don't eat at the first 3 restaurants since they are so unhealthy. Especially KFC cuz it treats their chickens horribly. But I love Subway. The healthiest thing there is probably a salad. But I always get a veggie sub which is still pretty healthy. With wheat bread. Hope this helps!

Out of all the choices, subway is the healthier bet - nothing fried there.
In general your best bet is to compromise. Instead of fries get a side salad, grilled chicken is best, no fried fish or onion rings when it comes to BK. If you're going to have beef then order from the $1 menu - the food is smaller yes but it can fill you up and not break your budget like instead of a Whopper you get the JR - just remember no cheese. It cost more to add on and is unecessary.
I would bring my own salad dressing, for the side salad and as for KFC... I would stick to original recipie, stay away from the fries and stick with the corn... but everything's fried there so moderation is key.

none have any healthy meals. all have additives and preservatives, never ind the low grade beef and chicken, turkey or seafood, they all buy from the bottom of the barrel when it comes to meat and produce. Don't waste your time. your money or your future if your looking for any kind of health food at these rat trap establishments, which have never been intended for healthy food, just quick as you can get it food. KFC taste the best (original kind,), burger kings burgers have some kind of taste, McDonald has pretty decent tasting fries and shakes, and Subway makes a killer tasting meatball sub, but none are good for you, but who really cares when it comes to fast food, you get what you pay for right?!
