The brother of a friend of mine has not really worked for about 30 years. He has had the odd job here and there but has always been sacked or asked to leave, mainly because he wanted the bosses contract ie company car etc.
The last time he worked a couple of years ago on a government scheme he and his dole claiming colleagues avoided doing any work with such success that it was more trouble getting them to move themselves than it was worth. I would not like this way of life. He owns his own home (thanks to a bequest from hs mother) gets his rates paid obtains good quality 2nd hand clothes a free breakfast and a loaf of bread and some butter every day from a charitable institution.

Yes it does make me sick because he is not only cheating me as a taxpayer but even more important cheating those who really need the safety net

You have made spelling mistakes, but aside from that I tend to agree with you purely out of frustration. I have been working since I was 16, apart for 4 years at university. I now have two jobs trying to make ends meet and keep a roof over my head, and pay back the government for the loans I took when I was trying to better myself.

yes it surely does annoy me? But as far as i know there is nothing we can do about it and if we argue against it I'm sure we would just be told that one day we may fall on hard times and need the dole!

I hate the idea of my taxes going to lazy people but its not just the dole some people live entirely off benefits I used to know someone who actually had another kid because it would increase the amount she got!!! (im not friends with her now) Despicable

The welfare system was supposed to be a helpful solution to those in need..but because of the generous way our tax dollars support these waste of life's..it has become more lucrative to remain on the doles than become self sufficient.
Look at what they get...cash, housing subsidy, food stamps, medical, dental, vision, child care(why?) and some areas give a gas allowance.
If the welfare system were revamped to make it miserable then maybe people will go out and support themselves...until then those of us that work have to support the lazy and unwilling. Maybe it's time to set up encampments for those unwilling to better themselves.

Yes I agree. But sometimes through no fault of their own people cannot find jobs or a desperately unlucky.

I think the jobcentre should be rearranged so that you go in there and they put you in a job. Then if you leave that job for no reason then you get nothing.
Every company should be compelled to provide jobs allocated to the job centre.

I'm with you all the way, Even worse is those that claim benefit, yet work "cash in hand" Where I used to live, there was a Neighbour of about 38 years old he was proud that he was able to claim benefit for his "Bad Back" yet Repair cars on his drive. He was allways in the pub, and took Holidays around 4 times a year, he got away with it, despite being reported many times for 15 years, talk about rubbing it in your face.

There is no excuse for being lazy and not working. Why should we that work take care of those whom don't?The only reason a person can have for not working is a real disability or a couple where the husband choose to be the bread winner.

Yes, people say it is not worth me working unless I get 20 thousand or some stupid amount. I am not going to loose sleep remember the serenity prayer? Basically there are things you can do something about, others you can't and you have to know the difference. I think this is something you can't if anyone knows any different then tell me what to do and I will do it.

i can understand if someone can't find a professional job. for example, i am an engineer. when i was coming out of school i sent about 80 resumes out and i got 1 interview/job. some people get less than that. i could see someone using a headhunter for a source of available jobs.

You should read my revolution plan!
I want to start a revolution, who will follow me!!?
I want to lead a revolution?
Like Che Guevara, Fidel Castro (the way he was at first), Huey Newton, Dr. Bill Cosby, Tupac and his mother Afeni Shakur and more greats in recent times.

Ronald Reagan is the devil
The government is lying about 911 and AIDS
and not many people know about the Tuskegee Syphillis Experiments the government covers up a lot!

I WANT to END Welfare and replace it with CCC and work programs that will save the government money and make everybody earn their checks.

Get welfare people to also do "the work Americans won't do" and keep these jobs unavailible to illegals.

Put Food and medical fields under strict government control so they can stop getting rich and we will all have access to good health care and prescription drugs.
Stop blamming "the man" for our problems and rise above adversity. No more races just Americans. When people ask if we are black, white ot whatever we will say American!!!!
