say if he didn't spend all that money on war/propaganda then wouldn't the people in New Orleans get better services after Hurricane Katrina?
i know he couldn't have known that it was going to happen, but if he actually thought about it and saved all the money then New Orleans would have got fixed much quicker.
how can he care more about killing people overseas than saving the people that live in his own country? bit backward, isn't it?

reply to "Veteran" - if you've got nothing better to do than insult me, why don't you go and fix what Bush has broken? but no, you can't do that can you? plus, i'd take some English lessons if i were you since you obviously don't know how to spell. besides, the way you answered makes me doubt whether you really are a "veteran" after all.

Part of the problem in New Orleans is that he helped TOO much.
In his first three years as president he put $300 billion into social welfare, a large amount of which undoubtedly went to New Orleans.
Throwing money at people while you're telling the country you are a fiscal conservative is not how you break the cycle of poverty.
He told the Governor of Louisiana that she could have whatever she needed. Guess what she asked for?; The 82nd Airborne Division. A light infantry assault force with no training or equipment for search and rescue or relief work.
They are the world's most efficient killing machine.
He gave it to her.
Brilliant.

If only life was so simple. I do agree the Government handling of the aftermath of Katrina is a total disgrace as is its current Iraq venture.

hey genius... new Orleans has been on the edge of disaster for over a century, the guy who decided to reroute the river and thus halt the deposit of sediment is to blame? oh so many people to blame including many corrupt new Orleans politicians, politicians there are infamous for being dis honest, the area is a large geological depression...a potential lake if you will, people should not be living there as the risk is too high, this is a monumental disaster and our president had bad enough luck that it happened on his watch, so why don't your you cease your mindless drivel and thank god SOMEONE is fighting the Islamic fundamentalist, this war will go on indefinitely so get used to it sport. Al qaeda policy is perpetual jihad, that is flat fact, they will overrun your country eventually if you do not cease to be a coward ....do your research before you open your ignorant mouth.

Yeah, and if your house burns down, what am I going to say to you? "I know you couldn't have known it was going to happen, but if you actually thought about it you could have saved all your money for your house burning down and got it fixed much quicker."

Nice logic--Throwing more money at Katrina wouldn't have made a bit of difference anyway...the "victims" are estimated to have stolen in excess of 2 billlion dollars of the money that was intended to help their neighbors.

Because there's a greater chance that killing people overseas will lead to eventual freedom and democracy while there is no chance that doing anything for the people of New Orleans will make them any more independent and self supporting. They're a bunch of useless federal dependents that are sitting around waiting for Washington to rebuild and furnish their homes for them. They need a serious kick in the butt.

What can we expect from a man that can't even speak his own language properly. In one of his speeches a while back, instead of saying nuclear, he says nucierr. Go figure, God bless America? Hmmmmmmmmmm

It makes no difference what services are rendered in New Orleans if the country itself is not safe and free from the threat of terrorism.

Bush cares much more about killing people in his own country than killing people overseas. He was governor of Texas.

I knew G W Bush when he was younger, he might be responsible for a few unwed mothers.
