After 21 yrs, we won a series in England.Now we have won everywhere except for australia and southafrica.We are touring down under this winter where we play 4 tests,Do you think current team can defeat australia in australia.Aussies dont have Glen mcgrath and shane warne in their attack,but our own battign attack is not same as before,Sachin,Rahul and Laxman looks they have lost their batting sheen,Kumble has also lost his attacking bowling.
So can the current team win in australia too? which areas we have to improve ?

We cant dream of winning in australia with the current team or its performances.Sachin ,Rahul batted exceptionally well during the last tour to australia,but both of them are struggling against even ordinary bowlers like James anderson.Kumble ,whom we expected to bowl well on the fifth day of oval test, is not same as before as batsman read him well.
We can dream of winnign a series in australia if players like Shewag,Harbhajan,Munaf patel,Irfan Pathan and VVS Laxman find form and produce exceptional performances.Because they are the match winners now

Austraila have quick pitches so our new crop of fast bowlers will do well
the batting is still very good ganguly looks in great nick as does laxman, dhoni is playing more responsibly than ever before and his innings at lords is a testment to that, our bowling was our weakness but with the likes of rp sree and khan we have proved them wrong and our batting is still the best in the world since our no11 can bat as well as any no 8
improvements- More risks needed for victory, do not let sachin bowl 19 overs in one innings, Jaffer dravid and sachin need to score quicker and we need a decent fifth bowler, le ganguly bowl more or pick yuvraj if anyone fails
BIGGEST IMPROVEMENT HAS TO BE FIELDING
we need a kaif or yuvraj, too many drops and not enough effort to save boundaries

I don't think we can as yet defeat Australia.Indian Bowling is still not good enough to always get all 20 wickets in a match ;something we saw in England Oval Test 2nd Innings .We need 1 more good Pacer or Spin bowler who can also bat a bit .
Also Laxman ;though he made a few good scores is not scoring that well.But Wasim Jaffer,Karthik,Zaheer Khan , Dhoni do give us hope for the future.

Like that only England Won the Ashes Cricket Series ...
Like that only we can try means definitely we won the cup .. Now the team have some spirit of youth players like karthi, dhoni, sreesanth, etc and experience like 3 star( sachin, Dravid, Ganguly).... and kumble spin ,zaheer fast are Boos to our country ... Our Country can try the Best and Do the Best ,,, we wait that day ......

India won matches in Australia; not so long ago. Though he was very controversial Greg Chappel has made his deep impression on the Indian team he coached excluding may be some senior players . So the youngesters who may be visiting may prove some of the skills acquired.

Our current team has the potential to win against any team..not jst Australia..our biggest problem is fitness and form..
if our players stay in form like the last test match against england we sure can win..and ofcourse we need to make right decisions during toss...

no..not with the current performance..remember we are just about to loose the first test..if there was no rain.only thing is that the batsman showed consitancy in the last 2 tests. But the Australian team is fur better than england.

australia is an exceptional team withexceptional players nobody in indian ranks can match their standards they got have good spinners not that stupid harbhaji i think piyush chawla young lad bowls well ,battinglot to be talked about
well we never know anyway success 85% aussies
