Why do some people do that? Are you a quilty one?

Some ppl are lazy, some are too busy and some are just plain rude!
I dont post a lot of questions, but I ALWAYS pick best answer - if ppl make the effort to answer, then its only fair that you make the effort to pick a best answer!!

I prefer to pick my own BA, but there have been a couple of questions I had where it was actually hard to pick just one so I let it go to vote. But I don't do that very often at all. I personally feel if people take the time to give you a thought out answer to your question then the least you can do is pick a BA.

I like to select my own best answers,but once or twice I have let it go to a vote because none of the answers were it for me.I suppose that some people do not want to hurt a friend's feelings by giving the points to someone else. You do get points when you pick for your best answer.3 of them,so I don't know who would not want the points.

I always try to choose my own best answer but sometimes you guys make it really hard. If it is too difficult I choose by the number of thumbs up between my favorite answers. So far I have chosen all my best answers.
I think some do not choose because they just wanted an answer and after they get some answers they do not bother to come back to YA.

I don't know...I always wondered why. If you are going to post a question, why not pick the best answer?? There are so many good answers...why not express your thanks to the person who answered it the best? Plus, you earn back 3 out of the 5 points when you posted the question when you select a best answer!

There have only been two questions that the answers didn't quite do it for me, so I put them into voting. One of them, nobody even voted on, so it was deleted and I got my 5 points back. All my other questions, I've always chosen best answer myself.
Oh, and in case you didn't know... you do still get the 3 points after a best answer is voted. Even if you didn't choose it yourself.

To tell the truth I'm not sure how. I tried to pick the best answer to the question I posted but I suppose I didn't understand what or how to pick. I'm Lame. Not really, just inpatient.

I think it's rude not to pick a best answer. If people have troubled to answer your question you should at least pick which you found most helpful or the best.
Makes me wonder if they even read the replies when there is no best answer chosen.

They lose a chance to redeem 3 points. Best Answer, can still be decided, by other methods prevailing in the system.
