I thought they had discussed with press how they checked every 30 minutes and then when timings started to move about they refused to discuss it or state the timings or what they did on the other nights. I dont think it was being withheld as evidence in the investigation as I thought they had been told they were not considered suspects/had been ruled out.

Wow, another obvious attempt by Team McCann to ensure that the Press only prints what they want? NO, YOU DON'T SAY! (sarcasm) It's a bit stupid though, whether the Portuguese Press are on their side or not, to bite the hand that feeds you. I thought they wanted as much Press attention as possible to keep Madeleine in people's thoughts? Surely this is going to cause a huge backlash in Portugal? The Portuguese Police and (one assumes) Government have bent over backwards to please the McCann's (Isn't their new apartment being paid for by the Portuguese Tourist people?), it seems stupid to annoy the Press in the country in which you are a guest.

QUOTE ""The McCanns are attracting criticism because they refuse to divulge the exact details and timings of what happened on the night Madeleine disappeared.

They are doing so because, under Portuguese law, such information would be prejudicial to the inquiry. "

UDER PORTUGESE LAW, SUCH INFORMATION WOULD BE PREJUDICIAL TO THE INQUIRY

Why should the McCann's have to disclose things when the police don't have to?
