how do i own my own buisness in texas?

I want to own my own donut shop/breakfast burrito's and i wanted to know what is the first thing i need to do to get started......

Contact your local chamber of commerce.. they'll have great resources for what you need and what permits you need to apply for. Also figure out if you want to be a sole proprietorship LLC etc. This is something which is usually filed with the secretary of state for Texas. You'll also need to apply for a sellers permit with the State board of Equalization..but the chamber should point you in that direction
