It would be the right thing,I agree. However,it's not that way in war, with one possible exception of the American Revolution, when many landed gentry fought and died.Nowadays, the poor will always be the ones who pay with their lives, and the rich will be the ones who profit.Listen to the song War Pigs or read "1984". Those two works are becoming very relevant once again.

Yes there was some talk of a possible draft last week.I notice Fox didn't say much.If it does come and it might as the allies are getting impatient, I think it will be a limited one.Who should they send.Anyone of fighting age that voted for George War Mongering Bush.Anyone high up in Haliburton and anyone daft enough to volunteer for it.Might learn to keep out of other countries affairs in future now the circle's complete.Iraqnam.

The draft doesnt work that way, and its not coming back in any circumstance except an all out attack by the Chinese.

If we need the draft, we choose a random group of the able-bodied and the young.

quit being a baby and go make your own money. You can buy "distressed" property on the cheap, put in a little "sweat equity" and turn a tidy profit on your own. Unless you are too lazy and embittered to make it on your own.

Draft? What blooming draft?

I assume by your use of the word draft that you are American, if so, don't worry, it's not 1966, and even if it were, you just need to run to Canada, right?

No, it should be those that profitted so much from the war in the first place. The arms dealers and construction firms that are raking it in at the moment.
