i bought a hair straightener ystrday at a salon. the brand was 'young' (neva heard of tat b4). it was quite expensive for me. it costs abt $100+.
but when i was using it tday, there was a 'pop' sound and the straightener is not functioning anymore.
worse, most of plugs in my house not functioning too! fcuk. i dnt knw wat am i suppose to do. i can repair it as it has guarantee. but wat abt the plug?

it sounds like you blew the fuse. you should have on either your straighteners plug or the plug on the wall a little red button that you can press, it should say reset or soemthing to that effect, and it should fix the problem.

i would probably take the straightener back, and if you are looking for a really good straightener, and i see that you are willing to spend some money on it, i would get a CHI, they really do work the best, better than any other straightener i have ever used, and if you get them from a hair dresser, who will get them from ace beauty supply, you basically get a life time waranty if you keep the original box and receipt.

Get an electrician to examine whether the straightener was the cause, and if it was, contact the company and complain for damages and payment to repair it.

i agree with nocole, but also being that much you would be under a warranty, take it back tell them what happen, something should be done, especially by the company...
but only do that if you have not blown a fuse...

ask ur mom where the reset button is in your house. and get a refund for your straightener
