You cut enough skin off the bottom of the scrotum to be able to grab the testicles with your hand. You then pull the testicle out. Don't cut the cord attaching the testicle to the cattle. That will cause very excessive bleeding. You have to pull the testicle and the cord out.

As for J's answer, I wonder if J eats beef. If the answer is yes, then about 1/2 of what he eats is from beef that has been castrated. It is much less cruel to use the banding method someone else described and to do it immediately after the calf is born.

Many years ago I was on a farm in Ireland and used what was called a birdizzo, (not sure about the spelling) implement which tightenened around the testicles and cut off the blood supply. They then just witherd away I think. I've not heard about doing it with a scalpel or making a slit. This tool was like a molegrip with much longer handles.

You sick bastard why on earth would you do that to the poor animal. How would you like it if somebody tried to cut of you berries.

You should go to jail for cruelty to animals you piece of sh"t!
