Was sushi invented by a lazy Japanese cook???

Who needs sushi when you can have sashimi?
When I used to live on Okinawa I would buy
tuna, octopus, squid, salmon etc . . . from the
grocery store. Have some wasabi and high
quality soy sauce. Also some nice cold beer.
I live in a small town now so about the only
thing I can get now is an occasional piece of
tuna.
