With all due respect to you, and any others who answer; why not take it to a qualified photo shop? FIRST! Certainly both the first 2 suggestions MIGHT work, but it sounds like this is an heirloom PIC. Are you ok with the risk of ruining it?

They might be able to put it into a "bath" much like the final stages of processing?

At the very least, a qualified shop might be able to recreate it, even through the glass. I worked for Disney and had re-do's done for PICS 100 years old.

IF you salvage it, or have it reproduced; put it under acid free mat and back board. Photos should never directly contact glass.

try by Putting your blow dryer on hot setting and blow the back of the glass that the photo is stuck on. After about 30 seconds, begin to pull gently on a corner. Continue using the dryer and the entire picture will come off SLOWLY

but i warn you, try to have the image scanned 1st, just in case.

Water could paintings, in spite of the shown fact that it incredibly is a final hotel. yet differently is to place it someplace heat and dry, to eliminate all strains or moisture from the gelatin emulsion. it could then very almost fall off on it incredibly is own. positioned something like a folded teatowel on it to grant ventilation and a e book on that to end it curling. Stand it in an airing cabinet or on a shelf over a radiator to maintain heat. Photographers 'glaze' sleek prints by putting them on a heated steel plate on an identical time as nevertheless moist, held in place by a canvas band. They unstick on their own as quickly as totally dry and sophisticated, i'm guessing an identical element will ensue consisting of your print on glass. you additionally can try the 'dry rice' trick - positioned it in a plastic bag and canopy with a reliable layer of rice, then fold the top up properly. upload a e book or something as a weight to steer away from it curling. Rice is extremely reliable at soaking up moisture, it could dry the print out over a pair of days. the two way, in case you would be able to desire to 'help' it off the glass, raise an end fairly and pull alongside the glass. do not attempt to bend it back, the emulsion layer will crack.

Soak in cold water overnite, as it is an old photo it will be full of silver, and will not be damaged. Carefully mop up the water droplets off the surface, and it will be OK.
I was once a photographer 45 years ago
