from spas to implants? while many humans struggle to merely survive? i understand that people get attached to their pets and they become part of their family but this is just too much. spas and implants is just going too far, it is disgusting and unethical since many humans are one pay check away from homelessness. there is something wrong with this picture. some people have so much money and don't know what to do with it! i bet that majority of them are against universal health care and have health insurance for their pets! shame on them!

Oh yes, I believe it. I am one of those humans struggling to survive, yet I have a friend who probably spends more on his dog in a month than I do in groceries. That doesn't mean he would be against the rest of us having universal health and/or pet care. There will always be people that have more money than they know what to do with and to be honest if I could afford it might do the same...I have 7 cats and can barely afford to feed and keep them in litter let alone vet care but we do our best.

I agree with you Amigo but then again we do live in these times when wrong is right and right is wrong, my pooch and cats have done alright with the bare essentials, and they seem pretty happy about it but I guess some folks are just so lonely that they kind of see their pets as humans, would be my guess, I have kids, that's where my hard earned goes! Good question!

Hey hdean, amen to that, I have been to alot of Countries where pets are mans best cuisine, Ah hear where yer coming from amigo!

How dare people spend their own money as they choose.

Has it occurred to you that if people didn't spend money on their pets that veterinarians, pet groomers, people who publish pet-owner magazines, makers of pet food, and even animal control officers would be at risk of joining the ranks of the homeless?

The key to solving the homeless problem isn't to be found in telling people what to do with their money, it will be found in finding a way to make homeless people useful to someone.

You need to get back on your medication.

It's not. If they work all week and want to spend their hard earned money on their pets it's their business. Why shouldn't they? Why does Big Brother have a right to stop them.

It's not their fault there's no universal health care go talk to uncle sam.

Who the he#l are you to say shame on them. Who are you to tell them how they should spend their money.

It's their money. If you are so worried about the poor, give them your money, but leave mine alone.

You sound jealous, maybe if you had paid attention in school and college you'd be one of those rich folks.
