So often it is asked which is the best or worst American President. Which one do you view as 'unique' in personality & looks. Example; James Madison at 5 & 4 resembled a Keebler Elf, was Cold & Diffident, prickly, Clearly a Genius & equally deeply flawed, edging out Martin Van Buren who looked Comical yet his personality wasn't out of step with the times. Who strikes you as an 'Odd' Duck?

I have to go with Lincoln. His height alone had to make him a bit of a freak in his day. He also was extremely unusual looking, to be kind! What I think makes him most unique though is his personality. He was, by most accounts a depressed person and at least twice in his life friends feared he would harm himself. I can't even imagine how he over came this crippling illness to become one of our most revered presidents. Also from what I understand his wife had some mental instabilities.

Abraham Lincoln - hands down, with the facial disease, covered by a beard, self educated, tall, lanky, steered our country through the civil war then followed by assassination with all the similarities to JFK has always been the most intriguing !! Go to www.fox breaking news.com and read article on Lincolns Facial casts made on-line.

Andrew Jackson, he looked like a wildman to me. They say his personality was the same.
He looked like he should be standing at a pulpit spitting out fire and brimstone.
Trivia : Jackson fought 103 duels.
Jackson spent the first night of his presidency at
Gadsby's Tavern and at his funeral his pet parrot had to be removed for swearing. Jackson's favorite home remedy was called " matchless sanative ", he said " when taken with a glass of wine it would calm the mind and keep it free from perplexing thoughts".

No president comes close to Lincoln in any way. He was the greatest, the most interesting and the strangest looking.

i agree with lincoln, he always loved to open a cabinent meeting with a dirty joke, which everybody else hated. Once a reporter accused him of being two faced and he said "if I had two faces, do you think I would wear this one?"

My vote goes to George W. Bush as the only President who did not deserve to be one, because of his personality (or lack thereof) and his Alfred E. Neuman "What me worry?" looks and mentality.
