Christian scholars say the dead do not arise until Judgement day, and atheists say death is final, so both agree that ghosts do not exist. I have looked for ghosts since I was a boy, and I find weird things that seem to be ghosts but are not. Once, at Aunt Audrey's flat, I saw a woman floating a foot or so above the floor with a halo on and around her head. If my brother saw that, he'd run and tell about seeing another ghost, but I walked over to it and saw light was shining through a window across the room in an unusual manner. The head was a calendar with scenery, and the body was water leaking on the wallpaper. auntie and bro saw many ghosts at her flat, but the only things I saw that sewemed to be ghosts were natural, not supernatural. I always look closely to be sure.

Most ancient civilisations believed in the continuation of some form of life after the death experience. Whereas no-one has ever come back to give an account of the hereafter, there are certainly some very remarkable instances of information coming from what is generally called 'the spirit world'. A lot of this is plainly spurious but details of unfinished business that needs to be sorted by the living often provides information that only the deceased can know. Whether 'spirit' can initiate responses in the present world is debatable but there are so many examples of the closeness of the deceased to family and friends that it is hard to be adamant that they don't exist albeit for a brief time following death. To answer your question, No, not in the type of ghost that clanks chains or wears a white sheet, but yes to the lingering presence of a loved one who might be around for a while until family and friends are reassured.

In 1973 whilst in my Bedroom, I heard my Sister scream whilst having a bath, she kept saying get out of here and stop calling my name, I thought she was a bit cooky, so dismissed it. Several years later whilst home on leave from the Army, 1979 I think, I was sat in the living room with my Mother and Brother and, my mum decided to go to bed and whilst in the hall way at the bottom of the stair she shouted for me to come to her, when I got there she said look at that and at the top of the stairs was a brightish light and moving from side to side then disappeared, so I also dismissed that saying it was a trick of the light. The following year I was again sat down sairs this with my elder brother watching a TV program whilst he was reading a book and all of a sudden he said should you not be in bed young lady, to that I look up and sat on the sofa was a young girl I would say about 11 years old, which I must admit got me thinking was all these other things I had witnessed reallly true.

Eventually Myself and my other brother Gary, (if you are wondering, I have six brothers and four sisters.) decided to a bit of investigating, so first off we went to the Old Church records to see if any one had been buried there without a body in the coffin, funny enough there was. In 1873 (2 March) a little girl had drowned on the marshes where my parent's house old house now stands and the body never recovered. So suffice to say that on the 2/3 March every year we saw the ghost of this little girl. We no longer live in this house but we did for 36 years.

Believe what you will, I now believe in ghosts and I occasionally go Ghost Hunting

A Ghost is a Spirit which is a Soul the Etheric body that we use to Astral Travel so when we pass over that is what leaves the body.

It is understood as a sort of life force body or aura that constitutes the "blueprint" of the physical body, and which sustains the physical body.

Some people don't pass over because of unfinished business
Or they just don't know they have died
Or they didn't know to go to the light
This is what people call a Ghost
I call Spirit they may just be a Lost Soul
These are then Earth bound Spirits you may call Ghosts
Or sometimes family members that have past over come back to heal you when you are ill or just pop in to see how things are going in your life : )

Do you also know that people that Astral Travel are seen as ghost, so maybe people are seeing ghost maybe are just living people just exploring via Astral travelling : )

Food for thought isn't it ?

Nothing in life is to be feared, It is only to be understood.

Love & Blessings

I believe in ghosts. I used to live with one. Never found out much about him other than what I could surmise. Because he was in a white button up smock, I guessed he was probably a doctor or maybe even a dentist from about the turn of the century to the early 30's, considering my toothbrush one day stood in the cup and did a 360. I always felt his presence in my mom's house. He was pretty cool though.

I started studying with the Jehovah's Witness. During that month I was having horrific dreams. I would be in bed and open my eye in the middle of the night, I would not be able to move or speak or scream, I would see very dark black shadows on the walls coming towards me and I heard like a buzzing sound on my ear. I never experienced such fear in my life. I wanted to scream but I couldn't. after some mintues of struggling I would manage to move and the dream or experience would stop.

One night I felt myself elevated and a voice telling me to abandon Jehovah.

I told my study of what was happening. he told me to check around the house for religious simbols. I spent the next couple of days looking around my mothers house for relgious simbols and saw in my mothers room a little picture of Jesus she got from the wax museum.

I grabed it and the room got filled with fear, I got goose bumps all over my body and ran out of the house. I was alone with my brother that day. He also felt the same weird feeling of a dark presence in that room. We both went outside for hours and afraid to step back into the house.

We went back inside and we could still feel this darkness. so we went back outside.

The third time we went back inside the presence was gone. We got the patinging and burned it.

Never again did I have those dreams. I never became a Jehovah's Witness, but I am starting to think about becoming one now. Its been about 10 years since that happened.

Yes, I believe in demons and Satan. This is a true story.

I do believe in ghosts...my Mom always said she saw her grandmother's ghost and she wouldn't lie about that.
Aside from that I think spirits hang around if there is any sort of "unfinished business" or for some reason they don't think they are dead or can't accept their demise.
