It is said that if you alter the past you affect the future which I believe is entirely true. After all if say Hitler was killed off would there have been no WW II or if Kennedy was not assassinated would he have married Marilyn etc..Also to consider what would replace the events you alter, could it be worse could it be better..

Ummmm , well I don't think it'd create a parallel universe..cuz one small choice is not enough to create all new people and matter etc that is in one whole universe..like that would mean there was another big bang from a changed decision..so I'd have to say no, sir.
Oh its consequence by the way, also parallel..might wanna keep that in mind some people get really pissy about that type of thing.
Good Luck to you. :0))

Hi,
Yes there is. Changing time creates a paradox which affects everything.
Example: the world once had a calender of 10 months were we had winter, spring, summer and Autumn. It was then changed to twelve months and every thing seemed fine for a while. Now we do not really know wot season we are in as they seem to be very missed up.
So to answer, changing time may not seem to have an affect at first, but over a period of time the effects are seen by all.

Parallel suggests everything is past a static reference point and then doppelgangers are somehow present to create all
anew by their actions. I submit most beings in an adjoining universe are not Gods nor have that creation ability. Suggest
bubble universes where walls are constantly in motion as all
individual content is separate and different. One might have
few forms of life amid vast storms of solar radiation and another where most of everything is still simply dust and gas.
Ours harbours life.
Halting life as if a God has consequences. Newer Deities
frequently are charged in criminal courts. Most of the older
have been judged by others.

Since I personally think time travel is an impossibility for a wide variety of reasons, it may be possible to one day travel to a parallel universe and affect things there. Since this universe is not the same as the originator's any change should have zero affect on the original universe.

Time can't be changed in the way you imagine. even if you remain perfectly still in one spot the universe continues to change, when some one figures out a way to put the universe back into a position it was in in the past then we can look at your question again.

You are in the field of quantum physics. A very complex area of science.
I am currently studying string theory in the quantum world, and there are too many questions than answers. One day we will have an answer, but there is a lot of work to do first.
Ask again in 50 years, I wont be around, but someone could then no doubt answer your question.

No consequence. The time is a reference to the historical events. The events will run on their own without reference to the time scale adopted.

Time travel is impossible .. and there is no such thing as a 'parallel universe' and nothing anyone can do will ever 'create' one (honestly, where do you think the energy comes from ?)

Yes.For every action, there is a reaction. So say you go back in time and change something, something else WILL happen in place of the change. And its possible it won't be very good.I'd say let nature take its course.x x
