i take it you have a radiator , not a Boiler, in your room, the part that allows hot water to flow thru it to heat your room ?
if this is true then magnets will not do any harm,

Put as many magnets on the casing as you like, it will do no harm. As the other person has pointed out, make sure that the boiler has its own air supply.

I hope that you do not have a gas or oil fired boiler in your room, where you sleep. This is very dangerous and potentialy fatal if carbon monoxide poisoning occurs. Magnets are secondary to the fact that the boiler is in your room. I would not put anything on the boiler. Please let me know if the boiler is in your room where you sleep and what kind of boiler it is. Please let me know how large the room is and what kind of ventilation exists.

I am wondering WHY you are sleeping in a boiler room in the first place. This might even be a violation of city codes.

It should be ok, fire-wise. But I have the gut feeling that strong heat might demagnetize them.
