An old saying goes, " Its all in the mind". When things in life go awry, people usually vow to go to the shrine of the deity barefoot once the obstacles r removed.Closer to ur world,a sincere guy living in a hostel with no Archies facility around walks barefoot on stones to pluck that rose on Valentine"s day.He would not attempt that otherwise, so I guess its all a story of motivation.

Let's see - I've been a barefooter for about 4 years (not full time though since I have to work and such). I can now go barefoot pretty comfortably over rocks and gravel and over fairly hot asphalt and such. It wasn't easy at first but your feet get used to it (plus it's fun). One thing I haven't done is walk barefoot in snow -- maybe this coming winter. Has anyone done that? (maybe that's for another question LOL)

Stones? Yes. Hurt my feet? Either the thicker ones or smaller sharper ones. Can I tough it out? Yes, as long as the stones don't slip when I step on them I will still walk on them, just slower steps even if they hurt with each step. Good for the feet, no matter how sore they may be after toughing it out on painful stone walks.

If you are used to go barefoot your feet will harden.. so you could walk almost on anything!

Yes, easily. I'm always barefoot, and rough surfaces like gravel are actually more interesting and pleasant than just soft grass or sand.

As long as they are not sharp, jagged stones. If the stones are smooth, it would not hurt my feet.

depends on texture and if it is freakin burning hot or freezing cold...but yes it is possible!!! i do that a lot and there are plenty of rocks and stones to walk on that doesn't hurt.
