You know the funny little hands on the side of the answers, what do they do and how do you click on them?

you're still on level 1, once you get to level 2 and beyond you'll be able to use them too
here's the deal with the funny little hands (or the thumbs as they're known here)
they are there for other users to indicate a good answer (thumbs up) or a bad / incorrect answer (thumbs down)

but mostly people use the thumbs down to show that they disagree with a particular answer even if the question doesn't have right/wrong answers (like 'what's your favorite movie') and that's not right, it's just annoying.

all the thumbs up you receive mean one extra point in addition to the 10 points you receive when you answer is selected as "best answer" to a question
when you report someone they also get a thumbs down

The thumbs are used to rate an answer as "Good" or "Bad". To use the thumbs you must be at level 2 or higher. Level 2 starts at 250 total points.

Come on, give it a try. Thumbs up if you agree or down if you disagree or if you think the one answering is nuts or a jerk.
