Don't eat late. Take a walk before going to bed if you can safely.
Setup a system of getting ready for sleep.
Staying up late is a bad problem.
Get stuff done on week ends so you can get to bed around 10:00 pm.

Here's a few things to try...
1. Try exercising or some sort of physical activity an hour before your bedtime. Tiring yourself out is usually the best to get yourself to fall asleep.
2. Try cutting down on your caffeine and sugar. Those things can keep you awake at night.
3. Try listening to some relaxing music in bed. One of the main reasons we stay awake at night is because we have a lot of thoughts swirling in our heads that keep us awake at night. Playing music might help distract you from those thoughts and help you get to sleep.
4. Warm milk. Warm milk contains tryptophan, the same ingredient in turkeys that make us sleepy after our Thanksgiving meals. If you're lactose intolerant try caffeine-free herbal teas. Some of them also contain tryptophan.
Hope this helps, and nighty night. :)

I'm an insomniac too.
Don't worry, I have to start school soon just like you. I advise you do NOT eat at least 3 hours before sleeping. Also, don't drink any caffiene in the evening. Warm milk works too. There's something in it that helps calm you down. I hope that helps!

You may wish to learn relaxation techniques or self-hypnotism. It works for some people. Make sure you do not complicate things for example, drinking coffee/tea before you sleep, or have lots of naps in the day time.
