There isn't any. Bill gates, being incapable of anything more than very basic math dumbed down the PC keyboard removing all math keys other than the basic +-/

At one time the ^ key provided squaring but not in a post microsuck world. Sorry.

but i have an idea
you can open any question here in yahoo answer mathematics and if you find this simpole then copy and paste it in a text pad on your pc and save it and you can use it back by copy and paste it

Hold the Alt key down while typing 251 in the NUMBER PAD. Release Alt to get √.

I suppose you mean square root

square root of x is defined as
(square root x)* (square root x)=x
