My periods are very irregular from 31-45 days?

I;m 19 and I've had my period since I was 12 I guess. But now for teh past year my periods have been very irregular. They are from 31 to 45 days! I have no idea when they are gonna come and its really inconvient. My last period didnt happen for 66 days...It's really weird. I;m really confused and I dont know whats happening...

Many times this kind of stuff is related to PCOS. A simple blood test or ultrasound would tell for sure. Could be some other kind of hormonal imbalance too. Most likely, the doctor will tell you to take a birth control pill, they're great for regulating periods. You should too - if they stop completely, it's difficult for doctors to start them again & you could risk not being able to have children someday.

as someone said it is normal to have irregular periods at your age. If you are very concerned about it you can see your doctor and get on birth control it should help regulate it. I was extremely irregular too until I got on birth control. Now I know EXACTLY when it will happen (to the hour)...
