I think older people are fantastic. They are where we will be ourselves in many years and they deserve to be treated fairly but more than that, they are walking talking time capules. Take a minute to talk to an older person about their life and you can learn an enormous amount and they seldom have people pay then any attention. It is a win win situation. I have learned much about what WW2 was really like from talking to the elderly and also what the state of Arizona was like just after statehood. You can't learn this in books.
Older people rock if you give them a chance.

What do I think of old people? Well I think they are a preview of me. I look at them and wonder what they used to look like when they were younger, in their teens and 20's. I wonder about the heartache and struggles they have been through. I wonder if they have lost a spouse that was with them throughout life. I always give them respect, because one day I will be that old woman, and someone will be looking at me and wondering the same thing.
I help them whenever possible, for what goes around comes around and I will need young understanding people to help me.

i think they break my heart. they didnt want to get old and yet there they are trying to still be cool and with it. but if you ever really take the time to talk to them they are very smart because they've been around a long time. and if their hearing is going bad or something i know they are annoying but imagine they didnt want their ears to give out and become deaf and annoying. in their minds they were young just yesterday. so i think everyone should just be really nice to them.
remember that jerk that beat that 101 year old lady for the change in her purse?? i wanted to kill him!! she was so sad. she just took it. poor thing. she's somebodys mother!

It is the basic in our culture to respect elders. Old people are repositories of knowledge and experience. They can always lead you in right path protecting you from the shocks you may encounter with their experience. So, always respect elders and old people.

depends on exactly how old they are. if they're like 40 years older than i am (which means they're 60) then ewwww. but if they're like only about 5 years older, that's okay:D i think old people are charming for conversations but not indecent ones.

-As people who have contributed to our society a long time ago.
-People who enjoy playing bingo in the late afternoon and taking regular naps.
-People who have infinite wisdom from their experiences.
-People who always take their teeth out.
-Walking sticks, how can I forget that.
-And last but not least, great life stories.

Seniors ( the old ) are generally wise ( at least in my experiences ) and I find that they are great people to learn from -- hands down.

Well, I think that old people are more wise if they can still talk. Also, I think that if I marry one, I will be rich soon. What about you?
