Im asian and white and i live in a small town where there are basically no white people. Most of my family live in Wisconsin and places like that and ive visited them a lot as a child and so i was influenced by that. Thats why youll always see me shopping at abercrombie and fitch but i guess over here its a crime to shop there or something. I feel like people dont even try to get to know me because im only supposed to listen to rap. Dont get me wrong, i love rap and r&b but once in a while i'll listen to rock to and people are like "wtf?" And then when i do listen to rap they tell me im not supposed to. And then its even more wierd when i go to Wisconsin because then i become, as a stranger said to me, too ghetto. Wth? Why do people gotta judge you on whether you act "black or white?" To tell you the truth, that makes no sense at all.

For your information DC, im not ashamed of my asian side. Its just that i dont look at all asian and so people dont judge me basd on that.

I don't know the answer to your question.Just don't go around any White people, & I guess you won't have to worry about their being any racists.

There's no such thing as acting "black" or "white". Those are just easy labels people use to stereotype folks. I hate when people use the word ghetto, because folks that do have no clue what ghetto really is. Just like people that call all guys that listen to rap and wear baggy clothes thugs. A thug is a dude that could care less about incarceration and will bust you upside the head for nothing. I don't know why or how the term "ghetto" became so popular, but it's used to describe things black people are associated with even though you find people of every race all over the world in ghettos. Listen to your rap and rock and damn classical if you want to and tell people to kiss your butt is they don't like it or can't understand. Wear what you feel comfortable in and what you think is cool. Live your life for you, because you're the only person you need to be pleasing. When you find something is not working for you, change it to fit your you, not what someone else thinks you should be.

We all judge others to some extent, and the easiest thing to notice is the way you dress and act. Seems to me like you take it all a bit personally-after all, as someone else said, the only one you really need to please is yourself : )
