I have had my education on them. They are out there TROLLING our answers and its disturbing what they report.

I have reported people but only for such things as disgusting avatars and obviously racist and terrible comments to answers that do not deserve that kind of response.

I would NEVER report someone for expressing an honest point of view presented in a tactful way. This forum is for open expression and help. I want to keep it that way.

DOWN WITH THE TROLLS!!

Watch me get a violation notice for that comment!! LOL

Sandy :O)

When I first saw them forming I thought nothing good can come from this. It becomes Mob Rule and Vigilantism. They really accomplish nothing since all Trolls know they only last through their 20 answers and 5 questions and they make a new account each day. One report is all it takes to get rid of a question or answer. 270 reports is just overkill. Now if they were able to get the Trolls account deleted within minutes which is something only Yahoo can do then it would be effective. They aren't hurting Trolls at all just innocent people who don't understand that you should ignore Trolls. Still there is something called Freedom of Speech and as long as it's not vulgar or obscene then let it be. These Troll Patrol members will report for ANY answer. They have made themselves Judge, Jury, and Executioner. I looked at some of the early members who have connected on the 360 page and they aren't exactly upstanding citizens. Logic would dictate that if your a "secret" member of this Patrol that you wouldn't connect by way of 360 but their leader isn't exactly a genius either exposing herself for all to see. Richard C said it best "a person with vendetta and lots of time on their hands" well that is a dangerous combination for sure! My fears have been realized now that they have large numbers they will suddenly change the rules they claim to abide by and now target those that disagree with them. They have become what they claimed to fight against trolls of the worst kind. Trying to force their views down all of our throats. And if we don't like it they will violate us for no good reason. I knew it would come to this.Troll Patrol is now the most hated part of Yahoo. I think it's time they disbanded and crawled back under the rocks they came out from under.

I'll clue you in on something...it was started by someone who has a vendetta against Yahoo for having avatar games and other questions deleted. I know because I was asked by that individual to be a 360 contact and deleted the person when I saw the direction of blog items that were highly critical of Yahoo and looking to enlist others in "protesting" what were correct decisions by Yahoo to delete her garbage.

Again, I was invited by a then unknown person who had the patrol site. I have not been one not to turn people down with 360 invites, accepted, but wasn't involved. The person recently withdrew the "veil," and I deleted the contact, in particular because the thrust of the patrol watch was evolving into avatars and other materials on people's 360 sites, and the person wanted to place me on an Instant Message list.

This is one person has way too much time, a vendetta against Yahoo and now the sick idea that she can dictate to everyone what is and isn't acceptable content on 360 sites.

I will complain to Yahoo concerning personal attacks on friends and racist questions/answers, but that can be done by going through protocol set through Yahoo, not vigilantism.

They messaged me and asked me to join them.
Their priorities are in the wrong place.
They are wanting to report people who mean no harm.
I give them credit for organizing something they think they believe in, however.
I can't figure out why Yahoo! is trying to get people here against each other, but it's not for me to question why...it is but for me to do or die.

You obviously was not welcome into a certain group, but you are my friend and that includes you in that group among other good people.
Thank you for not even considering the 'Troll Patrol'. They have become what they are fighting against.
Actually, I think they mean well, but their priorities are all mixed up.

Yes, and they've become quite notorious. They are carriers of a Cyberian epidemic called VBT (Violation By Troll). Rumor has it that Y! may be starting to take seriously the plight of undeserving victims.

We can hope, right? In the meantime, know who your friends are on Y!A. Watch eachother's backs, and try not to feed into their campaign of abject stupidity. Until this epidemic is dealt with by our host we're all we've really got.

No, I didn't know they existed. I can't help but wonder if they've read the Constitution of the United States of America. It gives me fredom to say what I see fit, although we are losing our rights to people who think this way. Reporting obscene and inappropriate material should ALWAYS be done, but whether you choose to reply to the sender, and what you choose to say is an individual choice. I also despise people who advertise their crap for sale in their answers.
