if i take marketing in mba, then i should go for home to home and ask to buy it please. is it ? can't i fine professional way? can't i stay in office? can't i go to other office and say about our company? i don't like selling like sales man to home to home across streets with a bag on my shoulders. pleaseeeeeeee serious answers only

No.Marketing specialisation involves learning to manage the marketing mix elements in a scientific & creative way.Ofcourse a marketing manager should also know sales management also.Selling skills also become part & parcel to demonstrate to sales crew.If home to home selling is allergic to one, deling with sales crew becomes dificult. Understanding customers to create sales is very much needed, just like creating advertisement message based on customer psche.Knowledge & skills of sales management , effective selling is a part & parcel of marketing area.
It is true that all cannot be creative in advertising (but developing such skills is needed.
It is true that all cannot be good is creating customers & sales but to identify one with capability, experience in selling is needed.
It is also true that all tecnocrates need not be good in product development.But sometimes a good marketing /selling person can give ideas to improve the prodcut to a technocrate .
Strategically combining various marketing mix elements is based on experience ,knowledge & skills in marketing as well as selling.
We see some road side sellers use good sales skills,demonstration skills, presentation skills & market their product.Observation of their way of selling (not cheating, some use their skills to cheat by giving false picture) can give some insight.Some corporate organisations also uses professional approach for selling whcih need to be observed to develop sales skills ( a good sales skill considers need base to promote product /service.Good Sales skills never cheat customers.

Sorry for being blunt but you can't even seem to differentiate what's marketing and selling.

Marketing is when you sit in office to brainstorm for new ideas for the salesmen to sell the product. Marketing is about strategies and plans that you need before you actually make your move to the customers.

Selling is the practical part where salesmen apply your theories in closing the deal. Salesmen are the one that go round the neighbourhood knocking on doors and not marketing personnel.
