I don't have a passport. The only time I traveled out of the US was to Canada. Until recently, near by countries were accessable without one and I have no reason to travel anywhere else in the world. Also, getting a passport is a lot of trouble, cost money I would rather spend on other things and takes too much time to get. The US is so large and varied that there is really no reason for me to have one

Yes, I have a passport, and actually yes I do go around exploring the world. A lot of U.S. citizen have passports, but you have to apply for them. 10% seems quite low.

I have one. It would have to be renewed if I were to travel again. I believe ten percent is probably true. For one thing, the US is a very big place. You can travel thousands of miles and still be in the US, unlike Europe, where one day's drive can take you to another country (or two! :). Also, ten is probably about the percentage of people who can afford to travel abroad. Most of us live check-to-check, and are lucky to afford a weekend at the beach.

i'm from the united kingdom, all of us have passports right here if we desire to flow to different united states of america's. Jailbait (real for existence) think of you're incorrect there, that only applies while you're in the US forces invading yet another united states of america!

I have one.
I think many people do not, They do not have time and/or the money to explore. In Europe, the countries are much closer and easy to travel to and back. In the USA it's hard just getting across country.
