The joint that is right under my big toe has grown into a red bump because of tissue build-up from wearing flats that scratches that area. now its reddish and feels hard like the bone. What can i do to make it go away like it looked before? what can i soak my feet in?

epsom salt (you can get it from any drug store)
and really warm water.

also you could put peppermint oil (most grocery stores carry it.) in there to help it feel alittle better.

ive had the same trouble with flats.
along with terrible arch pain.
but soaking in epsom salt with peppermint oil seems to help

good luck. =]

Hot, salty, water is good for most foot conditions. The heat will penetrate to the bones thus encouraging healing and the salt cleanses any abrasions etc. When your toe is better, try cleansing the area with "Surgical Spirits", daily for one week. You can use it on your toes, ankles and heels. The "Surgical Spirits" will harden your skin thus reducing the chance of receiving other painful inflictions from shoes, such as blisters.
