do not get them!!!
seriously, they come off easy and they are easily ruined..
you would probably have to go to the salon every week or 2 to get them fixed...and you might get diseases too depending on the place!

I've had fake nails and they look really good and clean cut. However once one of them breaks off they look really bad if you don't get them fixed, so i usually just end up ripping them all off. If you want to keep them up and keep getting fills then they are worth it, but if you have thin or brittle nails they are not a good idea. Also once you break them off (or go back to the salon and have them removed) your natural nails underneath will be soft until that whole portion of the nail grows out. Oh and make sure you get an acrylic/gel combo because just acrylic looks cheap and just gel isn't very strong so they will break easily .. if you have a vo's near you then you should really try to go there they do an amazing job .. try to go to a place where the ladies there have their nails done so you can see what they look like

They are great! Your own nail grows right with them. They have changed alot over the years and are not all that harmful to your own nails. I love having nice nails that don't break so easy. Most beauty salons have nail facilities now. It is worth it to have consistantly attractive hands.

there is nothing wrong with getting nail enhancements as long as your nail tech knows what they are doing and cleans their implements properly.... the only way you can get a fungus is if they use dirty implements.... i am a nail tech and i do my own nails cause i dont trust too many techs....the best place to get them done is a salon not a nail shop(trust me there is a difference)....you want to go to a salon that is more concerned with quality vs quanity....

I love them have had them for over 5 years. yes there are risk but you will avoid them if you go to a good salon. You get them done once every few weeks and dont have to worry about it.

Nail bed damage, fungal infections, obvious damage to natural nails, can harbour nasties underneath them particularly if you cook - work on growning your own!!
