HI THERE.

THIS IS JUST MY LAY MAN OPINION

IF YOU HAVE TIME -- TRY TO WATCH KARATI KID

I SAW IN THE MOVIE OF KARATI KID HOW THAT KARATI KID INSTRUCTOR TRAINED HIS BANSAI

YOU NEED TO TAKE A BANSAI PLANT OR ANY PLANT THAT IS A SMALL PLANT OR MINIATURE

YOU PLANT IT IN A SAUCE LIKE CERAMIC POT OR PLANTER

YOU CAN PUT ROCKS AND SMALL WATER IRRIGATION USING A BATTERY MOTOR OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT

THEN YOU PLANT THE BANSAI EITHER HYDROPONIC OR IN A SOIL WITH MOSS LIKE COVERING

YOU TAKE A PLANT TAPE OR ANY CRAFT TAPE -- YOU WRAP IT AROUND THE MAIN BRANCH

AND REWRAP IT EVERDAY UNTIL YOUR DESIRED THICKNESS OF THE BRAND OR TRUNK IS WHAT YOU LIKE

WHEN YOU HAVE THE DESIRED TRUNK -- YOU THEN REWRAP IT AND LET IS WRAP FOR UNTIL THE DESIRED TALLNESS AND SO FORTH FOR YOUR PLANT

DO NOT TAKE THE PLANT OFF THE POT

THE ROOTS ARE ALREADY GROUNDED -- IF YOU TRANSPLANT - THE ROOT WILL TAKE IN MORE AND THE PLANT WILL GROW BIGGER

GOOD LUCK

MABUHAY!

Bonsai is miniature plant material. Remove 1/3 roots and stems. plant in shallow container. Mist daily. don't let it dry out. To maintain the small size prune.

Here are information sources:

The answer is too lengthy to be entered here. Take a look at the Bonsai Care page on my website:
http://www.american-bonsai.com . I believe it will get you started in
the right direction.
