This is what the pediatrician said for use to do when we had that problem. Give baby CLEAR Pedialyte, 1 ounce, once a day for three days. It really worked. My daughter was about two months old also. He also said not to give baby water. It can actually make them more constipated because it wipes nutrients out of them.

Hello!
I had my baby 6 months ago and she had the same problem it lasted for five months I was so worried I didn't know what to do! I thought she had something in her belly that wasn't working right! and we went to the Dr and she told me not to give the baby any water, then we went to another Dr, and she told us another different story! she said to give her 5 ml of water everyday or some prune juice, it work, I was so happy but she also told me that since she was a newborn there was nothing to worry about cause she was getting used to the formula she said that if she goes more the 5 days without poping than I had to take her to the Dr, but since I gave her water eveything go better plus it was that she was getting used to formula too. Remember If she doesnt poop in 5 days take her to the Dr.

My cousin's son had a lot of problems with constipation. The doc told her to give him a lot of juice but it never helped. When they are laying on there back with knees bent move legs back and forth in a crawling motion that helps some. She had been breastfeeding but she decided to give him soy formula half the time and that was the only thing that helped it wouldn't hurt to try it

You can give her like an ounce of water, that should do it. But the Drs say add a tsp or so of KARO light syrup to water or their formula. That is what all drs say you can look it up.

You should look into infant massage. I did that for my son and it helped him pass a bowel and get gas out. Try making circles on his stomach CLOCKWISE, and rub down on his belly.

I was told to use apple or prune juice....2oz at a time....twice a day. It has worked for my son. Try the thermometer trick also.......sometimes that will stimulate them to go.
