Great philosophical question!

If you are lucky enough to read about or know of historical inaccuracies that massive amounts of people believe, you will know that:

The first lesson of history is "no historical account is accurate."

In fact, whoever gets to power tries to write their version of history. So, don't pay too much attention to history as quoted by others and make your logical and informed decisions based on common sense.

Be curious and think for yourself.

And finally, make your mark on the world by actively designing your life according to what you believe is right not according to what others say your society inherited historically.

The First lesson of history is " The Winners write the History, the losers don't!!" The second lesson of history is " Those that forget their history are doomed to repeat it." That saying applies equally to both the winners and the losers.
