My husband worked with a guy who always knew when I was on leave from work as it rained non stop. That was a few years ago and I now get 6 weeks off as I work in a school, so therefore I will now apologise to you all as it's all my fault. Sorry.
PS I'm not changing jobs though as I like having 14 weeks off a year!

The joys of UK weather.
We're probably past the time we could expect extreme temperatures, but it's still the middle of August and we could possibly have another couple of months of reasonable temperatures. Pity it's been so wet, but that's been due to climatic changes world-wide.....the ice caps are still melting at the Poles.
Some of the best weather for blue skies and sunshine can still occur into November but by then we're losing daylight and the temperature falls.
Sod's Law this year.....we were certainly spoiled in 2006.

The seasons are all mixed up. Sometimes the winters can be better then the summes. Last April for example was a scorcher with sunshine the whole time. After a very wet summer the winter could be good.

Yup! That's all for now folks. Even in a good Summer the last of it comes around the August Bank Holiday Weekend. After that it's just the autumn [fall] - cool, then cold, then freezing to freezing cold etc. Dark nights ahead, broken only by the drunken binge of Christmas and New Year. Keep going, Spring is only eight months away.

It looks like we had our summer, we had a few weeks back in April and one in August so that's it according to the weathermen, no wonder millions jet off to sunnier climes.

I think you are right, but never say die !
I am still going to have BBQ's, trips to the beach, wear my Five'O Shirts and shorts and just pretend that Mr sunshine has got his hat on.
Yep, that's the way forward lol
