have u heard of a trojan ? some one sends u a file that contains a trojan. remeber the story of TROY ? the trojan horse and all that ? well thats what a trojan does. they get the file on ya system and then it opens and sends emails or packets of information about your computer and the details and all that back to the owner of that trojan. basically as simple as ET phone home. other ways are by listening to the thousands of open ports that u have on your computer that firewalls dont protect.

You are probably talking about remote control. It is mechanism where you take control over somebody else's laptop. But in order to do this, both of you should have the same software running and YOU specifically need to give permission to the other user to take control over your laptop.
There are a whole bunch of them out there and Microsoft provides netmeeting along with its operating system. But it is not possible for someone else to take control without your permission.
In remote control, you can look at the contents of the other laptop.

You *have* to be specific when your asking about computers, else we *geeks* have no idea what you talking about.
