Can you type properly and fast without looking down at the keyboard frequently?

No, I have to look at my keyboard all the time and I am not really fast. I can type about 26 words per minute.

Yup. I learned touch typing way back in 7th grade [about 31 years ago -- yikes], and have used it ever since. Currently type about 60 wpm. Only look at the keyboard to do numbers -- they were always my weakest skill.

For as many years as I have been doing this. NO. Kinda ticks me off because there are mornings when I don't want the light on and even with the two guide raised letters, I still can't find some of the letters.

Yep learned on old fashioned manual typewriter. So can type very fast without looking at keys.

I've been able to do that since eighth grade. That's the year I transfered to a school with a better budget. One that could afford more than one computer per-classroom.

definite, ive had lots prepare because of the fact of lots utilising the computer. i will sort without looking. I sort the main suitable way, the way they coach you in computer training, so according to risk that still helps with the fee and not looking. :)

I used to when I worked at a desk for l3 years at the bank but I alwasys spell always wrong.

Yep, the only time I make a lot of mistakes is when I'm really really tired or very excited. But I always make sure I double check my spelling.
