Modern research corroborates cell theory.
For example, to prove that cell is the smallest unit of life, all you have do is break the cell into pieces and no single piece will perform the functions characteristic of a living being.
A cell performs function of respiration, nutrition excretion etc. These can easily be shown by biochemical tests.
Cell growth and reproduction(division) can be seen in the microscope.
A cell adapts to situations. This can easily be seen in bacteria( operon concept).
A cell produces energy. This too can be demonstrated by means of biochemical experiments.
The inputs and outputs of the cell can be shown by radioactive tracers.
Signal transduction is a proof that the cell responds to external cues.
Depending upon the need the cell may utilise a substance into the catabolic or analbolic pathways.
Signalling of cells under stress and their changed profiles in harsh conditions of starvation, infection or in cancerous states are supportive of cell theory.
The fact that they reproduce by dividing their genetic material in doing so some of their genes undergo occasional mutations supports NeoDarwinian concept.
Except at point where it states that all cells have arisen from the preexisting cells, you get to the end of the road where you have to resort to the chemosynthesis, all the tenets of the cell theory are validated by the modern research.

Because modern research supports cell theory.
Artificial Intelligence??? What about artificial intelligence contradicts cell theory?

Intelligent design is not science. It is religion with a fancy name. "Because I said so, " is not convincing evidence for anything.

Special creation is not science. It is the inability of the religious to acknowledge the humans are animals made up of cells.
