Not really.

But there's a positive flip side -- bad things also don't stick around forever.

Nothing in the universe is permanent. Live is all about experiencing both good and bad, pleasure and pain, joy and sorrow, etc etc etc. I know that probably sounds like a crappy Hallmark card, but it's the truth.

Well I guess that depends. Some good things only last temporarily. Say for example their was a great TV show you liked and you considered it a 'good thing'. Eventually the show would end as all good things must come to an end. But good things like marriages and friendships can last a long time depending on the people involved. Hope this helps answer your question.

No they never do. At least for me... The longest something good lasted for me was 10 months and 14 days... I really thought it would last forever... Now I feel so naive for convincing myself before that it could...

YES
do you know why God gave us a memory? So we can have a rose garden in the winter time.
Life is being born to die, yet what will we fill the inbetween with -sow good seeds for tomorrows needs
and some help from above=I was going to weeping forever for rejecting his love and salvation Matthew 24:51
Prayer changes things
Ive seen miracles through prayer in my Messiah Jesus starting with recieving him as my best friend, and savior.

"I love you and knock on your heart door to repent from sins (even one lie) and turn to me letting me into your heart to be your friend." Revelation 3:19&20
so i prayed, "Jesus thanks for dying for my sins, and I ask you to forgive me and come into my heart to help me and be my friend, amen"

1 John 5:14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:

If you're right with God, then your prayers will be answered. If you're right with God you will pray a prayer that will correspond to God's will not against it.

Scripture tells us the point of praying. To align ourselves with the revealed will of God and to cooperate with Him in HIS plans and purposes...

"Ask and you shall recieve,
Seek and you shall find,
Knock and it shall be opened to you." Matthew's Gospel

"Everything works together for good to those that love the Lord and seek to do his will that they may be conformed to the image of Jesus." Romans 8:28&29

praying good for you, and a miracle to help you see it too, a friend
