Firstly, you should never be embarrassed to have your period, every woman has it. Secondly, if you can get in to see a doctor before your trip, she/he could give you something to make it come sooner or to delay it. He could also perscribe birthcontrol which will completly regulate it. They say that your period comes and goes every 28 days, but I've found that it's closer to 30 days. Lastly, I'm not sure about the water, but I've been told that you can go swimming with out a tampon because the water stops the flow temporarily. I'm not sure that's its true though because I've never tested it. Good luck and quit worrying about it. There are a lot of solutions.

assuming you have a 28-day cycle, your period should arrive around august 24th. There isn't a way to make it come sooner or later unless you are on birth control (or take high doses of birth control (like plan B) which would induce your period. I don't think that swimming will delay your period. At best, it might wash away the blood (assuming you're in a body of water other than a pool or hot tub).

I hate to say it but your best bet is to use a tampon. I know they can be scary at first, but they really are the best bet when it comes to these types of things. Also, they're super comfy when properly used and make your life a lot more carefree.

No way you can stop or delay it now.

If the cruise were in two months or longer there would have been a chance, most likely with birth control pills.

Bring pads and tampons.

Swimming does not delay your period.

Water DOES NOT STOP the flow or slow down your flow either. It only disperses it quickly so it looks like it stops or slows. Please do not go into the water without a tampon!

when you are in water your period will stop, but it will start again soon after getting out, so don't linger out of the pool for too long. don't wear a pad with your bathing suit, that is a bad idea. ask your mom about taking birth control for the time you are there, it will keep you from having your period.

Yellow on your knickers is subjective. If that's brownish yellow then confident yet yellow discharge sounds infectious. once you era is over make certain you dont see this nastiness on your drawers.
