OK - got bought a Wii for christmas when I was visiting my folks in England. I am now living in Taiwan. Finally found a TV that'll accept a PAL signal and get new games sent from home. Now, what will happen when I try to connect up to the internet? Will I connect to the PAL region VC or the local one. Will it work at all? Will the console explode and leave me with shards of white plastic embedded in my face? Help!!!!

Well! I am glad that you got a PAL signal TV. Taiwan use NTSC signal for their TV. Generally, people may purchase a converter to resolve the issue.

It should work. That has nothing to do with your TV signal.

Will I connect to the PAL region VC or the local one?

You should connect to your PAL. Otherwise, your TV would show black and white or jumping signal type of stuff.

Will the console explode and leave me with shards of white plastic embedded in my face?

I don't think so. But just in case. Here are the pieces of junk inside the Wii.
