you ask a question and the people who answer it give you a 4 paragraph lecture about it? that drives me nuts!

Yeah, I don't like lectures, but a 4 paragraph answer is ok.

Yes, and it is even worse after the 4 paragraph lecture they still dont answer your question! Maybe they like to "see" their self talk.

Well as you probably know, when you ask a question people just go on wikipedia, yahoo search, or google, or even ask.com if they are tools and copy and paste a whole website of material, and expect you to read it all. But sane people like us don't bother to read it and just wait until someone gives us the same thing in layman's terms.

yeah if they're just lecturing you it's annoying, but if they are trying to be helpful or voicing their opinion i don't mind...i mean that's what you should expect when you ask a question on Yahoo! answers.

Maybe they're trying to emphasize so as to get a best answer! But yes, I hate long answers to simple questions. Okay, I'll stop now. LOL.

Actually I kind of like it. If what they have to say is really gonna answer my question and they thoguth about it and you can tell they're trying to help you, I think it's ok.

Sometimes. But, I also think super short answers can be annoying. It sometimes leads to more questions being needed.
