Is that an immature reaction or does stress always dominate? My heads swimming due to calamitous events and I have to climb a flight of stairs with laundry. Can a person stay as calm with heavy load?

this is just conjecture but..I think different types of activity have different effects on you psyche. For instance yoga is meditative in nature and would actually make you more patient. The same applies to long distance running.

On the otherhand something like training for sprinting or powerlifting where explosive strength is required can let make those split second adjustments.

All sports activity does have one redeeming value. It makes you focus on the task at hand and can benefit other things in your life.

In my case, activity usually makes time fly by faster.
I do get more annoyed by delays when my activities are blocked, like someone getting in my way when I'm on a roll.
