Personality refers to ingrained characteristics that are part of a person's distinctive character. Such characteristics, therefore, are not really expected to change except slightly with the natural progression of time.

It's sort of futile to try to consciously change one's personality. It's better to try to more effectively use aspects of personality to our own advantage.

I'm the kind of friend who better at being nurturing and giving advice, but I'm not extremely outgoing and don't find many things that funny.

To change it I've tried to look at things from a more adventurous persons point of view.
