I heard it on the radio... funny as hell, singing is fast. The only lyrics I can pick up are "...the radio told me... I should play it loud..."

Believe it or not, I own that song on CD and karaoke disc. This song is also the inspiration for REM's "It's The End Of The World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine). It's from 1972:

Hmmm....I've never heard those lyrics before. But when ever i love a song but don't know the name of it I go to ask.com and ask, for instance like your question, Song lyrics/name for ...the radio told me... I should play it loud.... and it should give you some links to the song your looking for.
