It would depend on if the person can see you plainly without "trying" to see you or if he has to strain to look in. It sounds like you should get another way of covering your window or get something that can sit in front of your shower to block the view when you get out.

First, you don’t sound too modest to me because if you were you’d put some clothes on before you walk in front a window that you know isn’t covered.
But to answer your question, it *might* depend on how the laws are written in your state, but the fact that it’s private property does not necessarily mean it wouldn’t be considered indecent exposure if you are ‘within public view’. For example, you can’t walk around naked in your front yard (even though it’s your private property) because it’s within public view. So, if others can *easily* see through the window--for example, from their own property or the street--then it’s an issue.
Frankly, if you lived next door to me and this occurred more than once (because the first time might be an accident), I’d be calling the police, because I have kids and I don’t want them to be treated to peek shows.

Yes & No. How can you NOT shut your curtains? If you are modest, then you would either put the lotion on in the bathroom or dress enough to cover yourself. What is so important on TV that you cannot take care of after-shower duties?
It sounds as if you're a bit of an exhibitionist. It's ok, admit it.
If a minor were to watch you.. and their parent caught wind of it. you may be visited by someone. You ARE in YOUR apartment; however if you truly did not want to be seen.. you wouldn't be.
Make sure you are not flashing pre-pubescent boys and admit your fetish.
I wish you well!

Yes, if that person filed a complaint. There was a couple in Florida a few years back who was arrested for being naked in their own home b/c neighbors filed a complaint. (If I can find a link to the story, I'll come back and add it here.)
I'd also worry about attracting the attention of the neighborhood pervert - getting stalked/harassed/raped by a creep would be worse than getting charged with indecent exposure.

Well, I don't really think it would be Indecent Exposure, If you are trying to cover the windows in the best of your ability then I don't think it would.
But saying you wake up every morning naked and go to the big window with it wide open for everyone to see, then that might be. But you can maybe defend your rights by saying they don't need to look in the windows...so its a toss up.

Doesn't sound like you're trying too hard to be modest there. But if you are blatantly careless about it and people complain, then yes, you can be charged with that offense because you are in plain view from a public area. The fact that you are located on your own private property is irrelevant, because you are still putting on a public display.

If you own the property, in every state I know you can be naked there legally. Since the place belongs to you and you have the right to privacy, no police officer can arrest you.
That said, I doubt highly that any male police officer would arrest a woman for indecent exposure unless pressured into it.

To sls314 : Florida is so hot and humid that it is criminal to forbid nudity!!!
But, If I have good memory, Jebb Bush is the governor?
Being naked at home is indecent???
What is actually indecent is to consider this. The people who complained and the judges should immediately go and see a psychiatrist !

It can but not in your case as explained by your self. To see you would require a person to go up to your window and try to see you. That person would be a peeping tom and could be reported to the police. With enough evidence the peeper would be charged.

yes and no. you are in your own apartment probably doing your own buisiness knowing you arent doing anything wrong. but maybe to others, they'll think you are "flashing", or they'll understand. even if it is indecent exposure or not, keep covered as much as you can anyways.
