It happens quite often due to fact that your body starts to retain water before your period. That's why you get that bloating feeling.

Yes. We also gain weight (1-2 lb) during the day that is not there in the morning. So that's why you are to weigh yourself at the same time of day so you get consistent readings. There is fluxuation of a few pounds in our weight, so while losing, try to just weigh once a week so you get the overall trend and not the daily fluctuation.

Yes they do, because of water retention. Don't even weigh yourself that week- you'll get freaked out. I once gained and 5 pounds of water weight (I swear it's true). Once your period is over, the bloat is gone, and your weight will be back to normal.

You retain more water around the time of your period, I believe, which causes you to be bloated and heavier.

water weight ..we gain water weight from the estrogen hormone...and some women tend to feel bloated..during their cycle.
to combat the water weight gain..cut the salt intake

Usually, at least that. It's water retention. Notice that you are also bloated? That is water retention.
