This is a very hard choice, one that hopefully you won't actually have to make. But if you had to choose who lives, it should be your child, because your parents have already lived their lives, and it is natural for them to die before you and your child(ren).

My dear, there is no easy way to answer that question. I lost my mother over a year ago, and it still hurts like hell. But then again I couldn't imagine losing either of my little girls. They are the light of my life.
We did a question like this in high school philosophy class. I think that we all came to the conclusion that the grandparents had lived a long, full life and the child needed a chance to live.
It's still not a decision that I would want to have to make.
I will say a prayer for your family.
Good luck, and God bless.

That would be a tough decision to make. I am sorry to hear about your parents and child. It is tough to deal with your parents' illnesses and deaths, but I would take the death of one of my children harder. It is unnatural for the child to die before the parent (or grandparent, in your case). But I do not think you should try to gauge how you would feel about losing either of them, just try to enjoy the time that you have with them and make every day count. God bless you.

I'm sorry your kids sick, and your parents too...
I will always choose my child over anyone... life or death. My parents are old, they've lived for 63+ years.. my son is 5 and he's got a long way to go...
My parents would elect to die, no questions asked, if it came down to a choice.

You are going to be more upset about your only child. Your parents are older and you expect them to die someday but losing your child will effect you deeply and for the rest of your life. But modern medicine has come so far and advanced that they are finding cures and things to help us live longer now more than ever !!!!! Don't give up hope !!! It ain't over til the fat lady sings !!!! Best of luck to you and your family !!! May God be with you !!!!

I honestly don't know. I am a mommy of 3 wonderful boys but at the same time I am still a huge daddy's girl and best friends with my mom. I think the loosing anyone that close to me would be equally devastating to me. That is defiantly a big thinker question. But I don't think I could choose.

Parents for sure, and they would be happy to die in place of my child. A parents love can not even be measured, our parents feel the same about us as we do about our children. I would give my life for my daughter in a second, I would give anything for her and my parents would too.

I'm so sorry for you. I could not let my child go. My parents would have had a long life and it would be devastating to lose them. I wouldnt want to lose anyone but I would do anything for my daughter.

God Bless you and your family with the healing powers of God but if I had to make that decision it would have to be my parents and I think they would agree with me. They've lived a long life and been blessed with that they've seen and done a lot. They've seen their children grow it would be my childs turn to grow and mine to see them grow. I know my parents would agree.

I would gladly choose my parents' demise over our children any day. My parents are traitors and cowards, plus they've lived their lives this far (our children haven't had a full life yet). Our children are everything to us, my parents mean nothing to me.
