love is what makes the universe go round. every night the stars come sailing through the sky, spinning and dizzy with love. if not for love, they would have given up a long time ago and stopped their grand procession. love makes everything new. love makes the connection with the old seem important. love makes everything reborn. you have been here since the very beginning of time itself, my friend. you don't remember, do you? that forgetfulness is a gift of love, to keep your spirit light. love is what seperates us, and love is what brings us together. which of those two aspects is stronger? the life of a dragonfly is very short. it may seem there is little room for great love in the space of a day and a night. but love controls the very speed of time itself. and don't forget, the dragonfly family has been around for hundreds of millions of years. that is a tremendous and lasting love. a sun lasts for a long long time. I think that must be a truly immense love way beyond the scope of what we can understand as humans, though the sun provides so much for us, and we ourselves are made up of elements which were made in the heart of ancient stars. love burns hot. but love can also be very very cold, still, unmoving, waiting, biding its time for all eternity for all I know. if you want my advice I would say look at everything in your life and try and see the love that made it possible. you will see there are no accidents, nothing is unimportant, everything is wanted, needed, loved, and loving. Love is the act of considering the self interest of another as though it were you own.
It is what allows us to form couples and groups.
It's great if you love someone who loves you.
It sucks to love someone who doesn't.
